There is no single best item to flip. The best one for you depends on how much gp you have, how often you can check your offers, and how much risk you are happy with. What does stay the same is how to judge an item, and this guide covers that. The live list below is today's answer for a mid-sized bankroll.
| Item | Buy | Margin | Per 4h |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon crossbow | 519k gp | 13,072 gp | 248k gp |
| Elemental amulet | 1.94m gp | 21,208 gp | 106k gp |
| Extended stamina potion(4) | 7,551 gp | 226 gp | 299k gp |
| Toxic staff (uncharged) | 8.92m gp | 631k gp | 631k gp |
| Avantoe | 1,679 gp | 47 gp | 280k gp |
Margins are after the 2% GE tax. Per 4h is margin times the quantity one buy-limit window can fill, sized to a 10m bankroll.
What makes a good flip
- A margin after tax. The spread has to be bigger than the 2% the GE takes on the sale. A 100 gp spread on a 6,000 gp item is gone after tax.
- Enough volume. Your offers fill only when other players trade. An item that trades a few times a day can leave your gp stuck for hours.
- A margin that holds. A spread that has stayed open for most of the day is worth more than one that showed up a few minutes ago.
- A buy limit that fits. The limit caps how many you can buy every 4 hours, so it caps the profit too.
- A price you can afford many of. Putting your whole bankroll into one or two expensive items means one bad move hurts a lot.
It changes with your bank
With a small bank, cheap and fast items such as runes, ammunition and food are usually the best use of gp: small margins, but huge volume. As your bank grows, buy limits start to bind on those items, and higher-priced gear and supplies start to make more per 4-hour window. Offerbook's Economy page sizes every flip to the bankroll you enter, so the list changes with you.
The Today's flips page ranks items for everyone by expected profit per hour after tax, weighted by how reliably the prices fill. The Screener lets you filter the whole board by price, volume, margin and members or free-to-play.
Why "best items" lists go stale
Fixed lists of good flips stop working because everyone reads them. When a lot of players flip the same item, they compete the spread away, and the margin shrinks to nothing. That is why Offerbook ranks from live trades every minute instead of keeping a list.

Offerbook is gp only and has nothing to do with real-world trading. Prices move, so nothing here is a promise of profit. Every trade is one you make yourself in game.
