With less than 1m gp the buy limit is rarely what stops you. Cash is. A 1m stack buys thousands of runes or cannonballs but only a handful of anything worth six figures, and on cheap items the margin after the 2% GE tax is often single-digit gp per unit. That is why the rows below lean towards cheap consumables that trade in the tens of thousands every hour: they fill in minutes, so the same gp can go round several times a session.
Items under 50 gp pay no GE tax at all, and some items are exempt outright, which matters more here than at any other bank size because a 3 gp margin on a 100 gp item is gone if you pay 2 gp of tax. Check the GE tax column before you place an offer.
Slow, expensive items are a poor fit. One unit of something worth 800k ties up most of the stack for hours, and if the price moves while you wait you have nothing else working. Keep each offer small enough that you can run two or three items at once, and move the profit into the next tier when the stack passes 1m.
The items whose average spread beat the GE tax in the most hours over the last 7 full days (to 00:00 UTC today), using hourly averages and the same bankroll, account and size rules as the table above. This list changes once a day.
Buy is the insta-sell price your buy offer fills at; sell is the insta-buy price. Potential / 4h is the margin after tax times what this bankroll can buy in one 4-hour window, capped by the buy limit and by a tenth of the volume that traded in the last 4 hours. It is an estimate, not a promise. Check any item's limit on the buy limits list, or size flips to your own bankroll in the screener.
